About two dozen children, over and above the normal attendees, accepted an invitation to come to ‘Sunday Fun Day’ at the Temple. The showcase event was held on 26 February with a view to attracting youngsters to the Army.
Visitors were able to sample first hand the activities provided, including singing with the Singing Company and playing with the YP band thanks to some extra percussion instruments that were drafted in. They were also introduced to SABAC and took part in drama and craft.
Young People’s Sergeant-Major, Elaine Johnson said:
‘New friendships were made and all the children had a great time. They’ve all been invited back to a party next Sunday afternoon and to join in our weekly activities.’
