Stand-in Team Gets Off to Fine Start

After the hurriedly-arranged farewell of Majors Stuart and Gillian Dicker at the end of November, the corps rallied round the interim leadership team of CSM Carl, CS Wayne and Major Geoff to handle the busiest time in the corps calendar – the run-up to Christmas.

It wasn’t all plain sailing. Snow hampered things, causing the carolling in Sloane Square to be cancelled. It also delayed key personnel from arriving at SEEVIC for the Christmas Spectacular resulting in the first of four performances being called off at the last minute. The second performance drew a crowd of about 20 but come Sunday audiences were up and £1000 was handed to Cancer Research.
