On 8th August 2016 Major David Woodman will go to Edale where he will begin his 253 mile trek along Britain’s first long distance trail, the Pennine Way. After almost three weeks he will hopefully arrive in the Scottish border town of Kirk Yetholm. He will be raising money for the Salvation Army’s Annual Big Collection, the proceeds of which go to support our social and community work in the United Kingdom. Sponsor forms are available at Hadleigh Temple so that you can encourage your friends to contribute. Alternatively, you could make a donation online by visiting his JustGiving page.
Here is a photo of him when he was sixteen years younger at the start of the last long distance walk he enjoyed in Wales.
