Light up a Life

The annual carol service to support Havens Hospices took place with a capacity congregation. It was led by the hospices’ chaplain, Rev Jane Guest with members of staff, including the hospice choir, taking part. Hadleigh Temple Singing Company also took part.

The service featured the lighting of the Light up a Life candle and members of the congregation had candles which were lit from the flame of the main candle to remember a loved one.

Following the candle lighting those who wished followed Rev Guest outside the hall where her colleague, Rev Rick Williams, led the countdown to the switching on of the Christmas tree lights and pronounced the blessing. Members of the Temple provided tea and coffee for the congregation after the service.
