To mark the 120th anniversary of William Booth establishing a Salvation Army presence in Hadleigh, a fun day was held at Hadleigh Farm. With side shows in the field adjacent to the car park and a craft and farmers’ market in the barn there was plenty for visitors to see and do. Between the two sites, visitors could choose refreshments at a barbecue site or have a go at Latin dancing.
With mixed messages from the weather forecasters, rain was expected but for most of the duration of the event, the sun shone to give a pleasant environment. The Fun Day was opened by Divisional Commander Major Carol Bailey.
The day finished with a well-attended barn dance, organised by Colin Ivory.
