Call to Prayer

The corps secretary has issued a call to members of the corps to join in with one or more of the corps’ weekly prayer meetings:

Prayer picture
Prayer is an important, if not the most important, part of our relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is our means of talking to Him and listening to Him.

The purpose of our Prayer Meetings is to pray for the life and ministry of our corps, its activities, its work in the community, the well being of our members and local, national and world concerns.

The Thursday breakfasttime prayer meeting is also part of The Salvation Army’s worldwide 24 hour prayer meeting initiative where we join with hundreds of thousands of fellow Salvationists around the world for a half hour of prayer.

You will be most welcome to join these prayer Groups!

  • Sunday at 9.20am
  • Wednesday at 11.00am
  • Thursday at 7.30am

Members of the corps are also urged to join in with the ecumenical prayer group at Hadleigh Training Centre Tearoom (led by the chaplain, Major Andrews):

  • Thursdays at 10.00am; tea/coffee provided!
