On Saturday December 7th Hadleigh Temple Band paid their annual visit to Sloane Square to play Carols and bring the Christmas message to visitors and shoppers in London.
They split into three groups and played continuously from 10am to 5pm.
They were very well received and on occasion a large number of adults and children gathered round and joined in singing the carols and festive songs.
It was a cold day but hearts were warmed by the many kind comments from the public about the work of the Salvation Army. More than one visitor said the “We know the Christmas season has begun when we hear The Salvation Army band”.
The band enjoyed the hospitality of Lieutenants Ann and Henry Chinye from Chelsea Corps, who provided them with a hot meal; and the Royal Hospital Chelsea, who provided parking facilities for which they were very grateful.
